Allow me to tell you a story about how I started in the world of DIY. I’m a Southern California native born and raised. For me life in california was about material things, a land where the lines of need and want are blurry. We worked long hours and spent very little time with our kids. We felt like slaves to our possessions and there was a constant stress to keep up with a certain lifestyle.
In 2016 Garrett and I decided to move to a place where we could slow down. Live a simple life and raise our babies. When we announced our plan to move our family said it was crazy and that we would hate living rural. so naturally we questioned ourselves the entire way to Montana. But as we walked in Dylan and Tessa ran around exploring and thanking us for the new home. Their excitement quickly replaced our reservations.
After the kids chose their bedrooms we started unpacking. And that’s when we realized some areas of the house were unfinished. Our biggest issue was the unfinished closets plus a few other odds and ends that needed work. and it’s hard to unpack and organize when there’s no place to put things.
I’ve always said, if you want something bad enough you will make it happen. I decided that i would figure out how to do it myself. And that is how we got here.
Im excited to share all the things I have learned! The project fails and victories that taught me everything I know! Leave me a comment below and let me know what project you would like to hear more about!
Thank you for being here
